Destaco 840 vertical hold down clamp is used in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries for welding, assembling & heavy duty production. This vertical hold down clamp is ideal for applying downward clamping force by increasing the applied load through toggle mechanisms. This vertical hold down clamp features an extremely narrow design for use in confined spaces. Destaco 840 vertical hold down clamp offers a stationary alternative to removable spring clamps or C clamps while securing material to a work surface. This hold down clamp allows economical use on short run jobs with short term fixturing, is completely self contained & needs only a single pressure source for added safety. It comes integrated with a U shaped bar for easy attachment of the arm extension and is capable of holding loads up to 840 lb. Destaco 840 vertical hold down clamp comes integrated with a magnetic ring for accurate position sensing and offers bar opening up to 100 degrees. Destaco 840 vertical hold down clamp is supplied with a neoprene spindle for maximum holding force and an ergonomic handle grip for user comfort.

Destaco 840 vertical hold down clamp is used in the automation, aerospace, food & packaging, and automotive industries for machining, welding, grinding and metal fabrication.
Destaco vertical hold down clamps are specially designed for holding the workpiece stationary against a flat surface / workbench for various industrial applications like woodworking & metalworking operations.
The difference lies in the positioning of the clamp handle when the clamp is in the locked position. A vertical clamp handle is positioned vertically (perpendicular to the base) when in locked position, while in the case of a horizontal toggle clamp, it is positioned horizontally (parallel to the base).
Certain U bar style clamping arm clamps like Destaco 207-U feature a flat tip bonded neoprene spindle that is manually operated using a handle / lever. This handle movement pushes the spindle against the workpiece and prevents it from moving mid operation, thereby ensuring secure clamping.
The holding force or the holding capacity signifies the clamp's capability to hold down equipment or sheet metal on the assembly line or during any other manufacturing process.
A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
