Destaco 830 Series pneumatic toggle clamps function as the pneumatic version of Destaco 630 manual straight line action clamps. These clamps consist of a double-acting cylinder, a clamping arm and linkages for multiplying the applied force. Destaco pneumatic clamps use air pressure to clamp and fix workpieces in place, via the force of a toggle mechanism. The use of a toggle mechanism allows them to be tightened with force greater than the applied force, making them ideal for a wide range of applications like the processing and assembly of general machinery including ships & automobiles. These non-locking clamps provide clamping force in direct proportion to the bore size and inlet pressure. These clamps are equipped with a lever that can be engaged to apply pneumatic pressure to the clamping head. The lever features a long guide ratio, with the high efficiency of each part ensuring rigidity. These clamps have a flanged base for mounting the workpiece on the base. These pneumatic toggle clamps feature an inbuilt flow control system for smooth operation and a magnetic piston ring for position sensing. The robust steel construction offers strength and structural rigidity while withstanding pressures up to 72 psi. They have a maximum holding capacity of 2500 lb and can work at temperatures ranging from -14 degrees Fahrenheit to 194 degrees Fahrenheit.
830 Series Destaco pneumatic toggle clamps are ideal for a wide variety of applications such as welding and assembly, for the automotive and food & packaging industries.
Destaco 830 Series pneumatic toggle clamps feature a flanged base with holes that allow easy & quick mounting of the workpiece on the fixture plate.
Pneumatic toggle clamps feature the same basic design and operation as manual hold-down or straight line toggle clamps, but are operated pneumatically. They are completely self-contained and require only a pressure source hook-up.
Pneumatic toggle clamps are actuated with a double acting pneumatic cylinder. The air pressure is applied in the clamping port, which moves the clamping arm to hold the workpiece. The required clamping force is achieved and exerted on the workpiece, so that the clamps can hold the workpiece firmly & positively. For unlocking the unit, the air pressure is applied in the unclamping port.
Yes, Destaco inductive sensors are designed in accordance with IP65 standards to offer protection against dust and heavy rain or powerful jets of water.
Yes, Destaco's 630 Series straight line action clamps are the manual version of these pneumatic clamps and are designed for heavy duty operations requiring holding capacity up to 2500 lb. These clamps feature reverse handle action and a plunger that locks in the extended position as the handle is moved downward.
