Prolonged period usage of passivated stainless steel machine screws may result in corrosion, wear and tear, and eventual breakage of the screws.
Passivated stainless steel machine screws should be installed with the appropriate tools and techniques, such as a screwdriver, drill, or wrench. The screws should be tightened to the appropriate torque and secured with a locking device.
Passivated stainless steel machine screws are treated with a chemical process that increases the corrosion resistance of the screws. Regular machine screws are not treated with this process and may be more prone to corrosion.
