Description
Flange alignment tools are designed to correct twists & rotational misalignment while preventing stress on the pipeline. They are ideal for ANSI, API, BS and DIN flanges. Raptor Supplies offers a wide range of flange alignment tools such as levelers, spreaders, Qwik Pins and rotary ground clamps, from Ampco, Enerpac and Sumner. They can withstand a max reaction force of 10 tons. Flange spreaders are used to spread the flange faces without damaging flange sealing surfaces. They are attached to the flange holes and spread apart uising wedge action flanges. The steel construction can withstand force up to 1500 lb.
Working Mechanism
- Clean the flange surfaces to remove any debris, rust or dirt that may interfere with the alignment process.
- Insert the alignment tool into the bolt holes on one flange.
- Align the second flange over the alignment tool and secure it loosely with bolts or clamps.
- Use the alignment tool to adjust the position of the second flange until it is properly aligned with the first flange.
- Tighten the bolts on both flanges to the recommended torque specifications.
- Remove the alignment tool and check the alignment again to ensure that it has been maintained.
