Description

Tubing benders are designed to create smooth and tight-radius permanent bends in pipes and tubes during metal forming processes. Raptor Supplies offers a huge variety of tubing benders from Baileigh Industrial, Heck Industries, RIDGID, Westward and Imperial. These tube benders feature industrial-grade metal construction to allow bending of soft copper, aluminium and light-wall hydraulic tubing. Some models come with a cushion-grip handle to allow comfortable grip during long hours of operation. These tube benders are available in manual, electrically-powered and programmable models on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • The tube bending process utilises mechanical force for pushing stock tubing or pipe against a die, thus forcing the tube or pipe to conform to the die's shape.
  • Generally, stock tubing is held gently in place while the end is rolled and rotated around the die.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do you bend copper pipes accurately?

A. Position the pipe to the bender, ensuring that the fixed point is behind the backstop. Simply use a square and a scrap piece of pipe for ensuring that the mark on the pipe is perfectly aligned with the outside edge of the scrap pipe. Finally, pull the bend to the correct angle.

Q. Is tubing stronger than a pipe?

A. Tubes are stronger than pipes and perform better in applications that need durability and structural rigidity.
