Grating clips are suitable for attaching parallel sheets of grating to angular or channel-shaped flanges. They do not require cutting, taping, drilling or welding. Raptor Supplies offers these grating clips from brands like Grainger, Grating Fasteners, Morse Drum, Unistrut and Vigil Antislip.
Features
They have carbon steel or 316 stainless steel construction.
They provide quick & dependable installation / removal using a screwdriver.
Saddle clips are used for attaching grating to structures with the help of a screw, bolt or pin.
They are made from stainless steel / fibreglass to provide maximum resistance in corrosive environments and are compatible with a 0.25-inch diameter fastener only.
Model GSCF-10 is designed to fasten 19-space grating to structures and feature an oval-shaped hole to accommodate either a screw or a carriage bolt.
Buying Guide
Based on Fastener Type
Standard
They require a hole in the support structure for securing grating to them.
C-Clip
They hold onto the support structure and are attached to the plate on the grating's top surface using a bolt. They can be easily tightened from above the grating, providing simple installation.
Connector
They tie together two bar grating sheets. They hold together the edges of sheets for preventing tripping hazards while walking.
Swivel Lock
They can be easily installed, adjusted and removed. They tighten the bolt for swivelling the fasteners into position.
Saddle Clip
They are used to connect two bearing bars. Users just require a hole in the support structure, a threaded stud and a hex nut (not included) for fixing the fasteners.
Based on Grating Type
Bar Grating
Used to attach grating to a horizontal steel structural member edge.
Square Mesh Fibreglass
Designed for attaching 1-1/2 inch grating to structural shapes with the structural flange in a horizontal plane. Top assembly specifically shaped to fit 1-1/2 inch square mesh.
I-Bar Pultruded Fibreglass Grating
Designed to attach bar grating to metal or other structural shapes, with the structural flange in a horizontal plane. Used to fit pultruded grating shapes while limiting the spread of the bearing bars.
Close Mesh Bar Grating
Designed to attach grating to metal or other structural shapes using grip jaw, where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane.
T-Bar Pultruded Fibreglass Grating
Designed to attach fibreglass T-bars to structural members. Suitable where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane.

G-clip fasteners consist of three parts, assembled at the factory into a complete installation unit.
The main part is the grip-jaw portion of the assembly which includes a female-thread form in its upper portion. The jaw is die-stamped with die-cut, toothed segments facing upward which contact the underside of the structural member.
The second part is the stamped top designed to fit flat over the grating upper surface.
The third part, a 1/4 inch-20 threaded bolt, joins the body & top and can be adjusted as per requirement.
What is a grating used for?
Gratings are used in panels to optimise bending stiffness while minimising weight. They provide a stable flooring base & traction for superior safety. Gratings are common in industrial and commercial settings.
