Wedge anchors are suitable for anchoring fixtures / objects into hard surfaces like concrete, brick or blocks. Raptor Supplies offers a wide range of wedge anchors from brands like Grainger, MKT Fastening, Cooper B-Line, Powers Fasteners and Red Head. These anchors are installed into pre-drilled holes where their wedge expands for securely gripping the material.
These anchors are installed just like stud anchors, using a nut & washer. They are driven into a hole and the attached nut is turned to expand their base. They are also called rod anchors and are used with threaded rods for hanging piping & wiring.
After these anchors are installed, their head is pulled using the claw of a hammer for expanding the base and wedging it in place.
The base of these anchors expands when users tighten the attached nut, providing a secure hold in concrete.
Provides structural rigidity, strength, hardness & durability
Has corrosion-resistant properties, moderate structural rigidity & a mildly magnetic nature
Excellent corrosion resistance, especially when exposed to marine or chemical-laden environments; mildly magnetic
ICC listed anchors are ideal for both cracked & uncracked concrete surfaces in new structures. Anchors that are listed for cracked concrete are used in environments that may cause cracking of concrete during the anchor's operating life.
FM approvals certify that the anchors meet industry safety standards, most often for reducing fire risk.
UL certification ensures industry safety and performance standards for the tested products and components according to specific conditions, risks or regulatory codes.
They are also called sleeve anchors. They feature a removable flat head for flushing in countersunk holes. These anchors have a sleeve that expands when the user tightens the bolt head for a secure hold on block & brick surfaces.
Their eye-style head can be pulled to provide secure wedging on concrete surfaces.
Standard stud anchors, wedge eyebolts & female threaded anchors are used on concrete or other hard materials.
Sleeve anchors are generally used on block & brick surfaces.
Mild-to-high corrosion resistance in wet environments
For corrosion resistance & a yellow-coloured finish
Provides better corrosion resistance than zinc plating, owing to the thick coating
