Scaffold nails, also known as duplex nails or raised-head removable nails, are used for supporting temporary structures such as scaffolds and wooden forms. They have side-by-side heads for ease of contact while driving them and a unique configuration for easy removal. These units are designed for constructing concrete forms and attach temporary braces to fences & walls. When driving the nail, the user sinks the lower head while leaving the upper head protruding from the wood. The lower head acts as a stopper. When pulling the nail out, it gives the prying tool something to hold on to.
