Features

  • Little Giant condensate pumps comprise a motor with thermal overload protection to prevent damage to the sensitive components from excessive temperatures.
  • They are equipped with a fully automatic start / stop, safety switch & removable barbed check valve for reducing the risk of contamination & keeping the system / surrounding clean.
  • Most of the brand's condensate pumps are equipped with a reservoir / tank. However, the company's in-pan condensate pumps are sealed and submersible for in-pan placement & shallow pan tank applications to remove condensates.
  • Selected models (VCMX-20 Series) have rubber feet under their reservoir for slim footprint and dampening vibrations.
  • They are available in varying styles, namely compact submersible, high capacity, large reservoir, shallow pan & vertical variants.

Working Mechanism

  • Little Giant condensate pump is connected to a reservoir that collects the water / condensate from a condenser.
  • After a certain time, the water level rises in the reservoir of a selected condensate pump. The reservoir has a float that rises with the rising water level.
  • When the float reaches a specific point, it hits the float switch.
  • Once the float switch is triggered, the condensate pump turns on to remove the water from the reservoir.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some accessories compatible with Little Giant condensate pumps?

Little Giant condensate pumps can be fitted with a discharge adaptor, check valves & connecting equipment for discharging condensate safely while being connected to multiple types of equipment.

How to clean a Little Giant condensate pump?

  • Remove the tank / box containing the pump from the HVAC.
  • Empty the water from the tank.
  • Clean the pump using a soft brush.
  • Clean the plastic tank / box using a sponge soaked in vinegar.
  • Reconnect the reservoir & pump to the equipment.

How often should a condensate pump be inspected?

A condensate pump should undergo an annual inspection, maintenance & cleaning for efficient operation & safety. A condensate pump may get clogged due to dirt or debris. Users should thoroughly clean the pump at least once a year.
